One of my favorite quotes from that movie the other day.
I think it was called 'Hoodlums' or something like that.
Hey, yo.
It's Allie LeAnn.
Snitches.
So, I'm in a significant amount of pain.
My back is crazily in pain.
Like fo. serious.
And my head hurts really bad.
But other than that, I'm doing pretty good.
I just realized that it's amazing how easy life is when you live in denial.
Story of my life.
I mean there's so much going on in my life.
And I just don't pay it any mind.
I'm just like "enhh".
And then I'm happy.
And that's that.
And I don't know what's wrong with me.
And I don't think its a good thing that I do that.
Like at all.
So yeah.
And I also just realized how angry I truly am about something.
Okay.
Kaitlyn and Melody.
THEY.
GET.
ON.
MY.
FRACKING.
NERVES.
Like okay, I know I'm always complaining about something.
And I know sometimes I sound like a broken record.
And there's always 'something wrong' at any given time.
But here's the thing.
They're worse.
Like its something new EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
"My head hurts. So bad I had to take a shot".
"My lupus!"
"My fibromyalgia".
"My COPD!"
"My back"
"My leg"
"My in-grown toenail!"
I mean WHAT. THE. ZEFF.
?!?!?!
If you're going to go as far as an in-grown toenail and seriously COMPLAIN LIKE HELL about that, just stop. Please. Just stop.
But anyway.
Mama and I ALWAYS show compassion.
Even though honestly, we don't care.
At all.
We sit here and actually pretend to.
And its buyable, too.
Like we appear to be genuinely concerned.
Then.
As soon as Mama and I say something about ourselves.
Mama's back.
Mama's Crohn's.
My back.
My chronic bronchitis.
My costocondritis.
Anything.
They.
Don't.
Show.
An.
Ounce.
Of.
Compassion.
Anywhere.
In.
Their.
Bodies.
This is how the conversation goes.
Melody: "I mean my arm has been just about to KILL me, Annette!"
Mama and I: "Oh wow! That stinks! I know how that feels! Have you tried taking any kind of medicine or anything? What about going to the doctor?"
[See, genuine concern. Now check out when we say something]
Mama: My back has just been about to KILL me!
Melody: Yeah. My COPD has been going crazy. And Kaitlyn, poor child, she has a BROKE LEG! A BROKE LEG!"
[See? No concern whatsoever. Another example]
Me: "I swear, my costocondritis has been acting up today and its making my chest hurt really bad."
Kaitlyn: "Well, my leg has been about to die. I just wanna shoot it off, I swear! I've never hurt like this before in my life, Allie!"
Its like they compete with us to see who has the worst medical problems.
Well, they can have that award.
I'll choose being healthy any day.
I mean its ridiculous how we actually pretend to care when we don't.
At all.
Like its so frequent that we can't HELP but not care.
I mean an every day phrase for them is "I ain't never hurt like this before in my life, I swear!"
And...
"My ___________ has just been about to KILL me! Its crazy!".
I'M FRACKING TIRED OF IT.
So yeah.
Just thought you might wanna know.
SHABBA!
